I love tempura. I always have and growing up in a Japanese household, both my parents it for us at home. I wouldn’t say it was always but definitely enough that we got our tempura fix was satisfied. There are so many different kinds of tempura. I would have to say my favorites are the sweet yam, green beans, mushroom and of course, shrimp. New Year…New Food Finds!
Happy New Year Food Frenzy fans! I hope you all have wonderful and safe New Year’s celebration. We in my household usually watch the ball drop in Times Square and eat soba (Japanese buckwheat noodles) to ring in the New Year. It never fails, my dad is in charge of uncorking the champagne while those around him take cover. LOL! Good times! For 2013, I can’t wait to try more amazing foods from all the over as well as share perhaps favorite recipes of mine on my blog. An update for my site this year is larger photos. Some Good Ol’Japanese Bento
I LOVE Japanese food. Could be because I grew up with it my entire life or could be because it’s just simply healthy for you. Alot of the recipes used in Japanese cooking hardly use oil and fat. Of course, there are items like Tempura, Chicken Katsu and my all time favorite, Corrokke (breaded mashed potato rolled in a ball) that are deep fried but how can you get fresher and more natural than raw fish, sushi!
